Participating Hotels are oblidged to fullfil the following criteria as defined by the Stranded Passenger Working Group (SPWG):
- Able to accept passengers 24/7
- Ability to provide some form of F&B subject to being advised by 22:30 local time. (To be established within your SPWG)
Hotels will update the Stranded Passenger Tool (SPT) twice daily at 08:00 and 17:00. This provides airline operators and handling agents with real-time availability and pricing information.
Hotels will respond to all system Emails via the SPT ensuring to copy the affected airline. They will bill airlines directly by way of the billing information provided by the airlines and available in the Hotels section of the system.
At Zürich Airport the SPT is being used for ALL disruption handling where hotel accommodation is required.
